The Civil Defense announced that it had controlled the fire that broke out in the Roumieh forest on Thursday night.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Civil Defense reported that its members were dispatched to the scene immediately and worked to prevent the fire from spreading.

Surveillance cameras detected the presence of a car parked at the scene of the incident, which left shortly after the fire erupted.

The recent fires ravaging various Lebanese regions pose a significant threat. Several wooded and agricultural areas of the country have been affected, endangering already fragile ecosystems and threatening the surrounding population.

These fires, often human-made, are believed to have been deliberately set for reasons that remain unknown. The Lebanese government and rescue forces are attempting to contain the fires with limited resources while conducting investigations to identify those responsible for the deliberate ignitions.

Meanwhile, residents are increasingly anxious about the flames and the impact of this crisis on their health and living conditions.
