The management of the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut has decided to close the establishment as of tomorrow, without specifying a date for a possible reopening.

According to information obtained by This is Beirut, a conflict lasting several days pitted the management against a television channel using the hotel as a base for its offices, studios, and broadcasting center. The TV station reportedly ignored repeated requests from management to cease operations and vacate the premises.

Management had officially asked several media groups present in the hotel to leave.

According to sources quoted by the “Loubnan Al Kabir” website, the channel in question is known for its support of Iran and Hezbollah, which particularly worried management, given the presence of non-Lebanese personalities alongside local teams within the establishment.

Faced with the media group's repeated refusal to leave the hotel, and to avoid any liability that might arise, management decided to close the hotel doors.

The media group then reportedly decided to relocate its offices elsewhere.
