The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has once again called on the Security Council to order Israel to “immediately cease hostilities and withdraw from all Lebanese territories” and to fully execute UN resolution 1701.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared, in a statement on Wednesday, that it would be presenting a fresh protest on Israeli aggression against Lebanon from October 3 to October 14.

The statement said, “Lebanon affirms that in order to strengthen state authority over all Lebanese territories, it relies on the critical role of UNIFIL, in close cooperation with the Lebanese Armed Forces.”

The Security Council was also asked to denounce “the ongoing and widespread Israeli aggression against Lebanon and its people, and the ground invasion of its territory,” according to the complaint.

As Lebanon condemns Israel’s continued violation of its sovereignty, the statement noted that “Israel is trying to impose by force its vision of security in the region against the sovereignty, security and safety of the countries of this region.”
