The Israeli army radio reported on Sunday that "the army has once again expanded its ground operations in southern Lebanon, carrying out large-scale aerial bombings and opening heavy artillery fire."

It also announced that a new military division entered Lebanese territory on Saturday night to extend the ground operation in South Lebanon.

South Lebanon

Four Lebanese Red Cross rescue workers were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted the village of Srebbine on Sunday morning. The vehicle was bombed despite the movement being coordinated with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Ground fighting reportedly continued between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, which was attempting to make an incursion into the village of Ramya, according to sources cited by al-Hadath and al-Arabiya media. Exchanges of machine gun fire then rang out between Aita al-Shaab and Ramya.

Israeli raids completely destroyed an old mosque in the center of the village of Kfar Tebnit (Nabatiyeh district) and a building in Roumine (Nabatiyeh district) early on Sunday morning.

Additionally, a three-story building located on the Zefta-Nabatiyeh highway was razed by an Israeli raid, blocking the road.

The districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil witnessed an escalation of bombings on Sunday.

Furthermore, an uninhabited residential apartment was targeted in Charhabil, in northeastern Sidon.

A drone attack also targeted the village of Bkosta, in the outskirts of Sidon. This was the third attack against the areas surrounding Sidon.

Israeli artillery bombardments continued overnight and into Sunday morning in Kfar Kila, Khiam and the Marjayoun Valley.

On another note, Israel told Washington that it will continue to work to avoid endangering UNIFIL, which is positioned in the south.

This declaration follows injuries sustained by five UNIFIL soldiers since Thursday in Israeli strikes near the headquarters of the international peacekeeping force in Naqoura.

In this context, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, reportedly explained to his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin, the "operational challenge" posed by the presence of Hezbollah "near UNIFIL positions," according to a statement from the Ministry cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

A drone attack targeted a truck in the village of Sefri, while the Younine region, north of Baalbek, was targeted by an Israeli aircraft at dawn on Sunday.

Hezbollah

Hezbollah reported altercations that occurred at dawn on Sunday between its fighters and the Israeli army in the region of Tell al-Medawar, in the village of Ramya.

Regarding its attacks on Israeli territory, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the Zebdine barracks (Shebaa Farms) and Zarit.

It also stated that it had attacked Israeli soldier deployments in Khallet Wardeh, in the colonies of Shomera and Manara, as well as in the vicinity of the positions of Ramim, Ramya and Tell Chaar.

The Mi’ilya launch platform was also targeted.

Israeli side

The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it had "captured" a Hezbollah member in a tunnel in South Lebanon.

Additionally, it renewed its calls to the residents of South Lebanon not to return to their villages to visit their homes or work in the olive groves.

Israeli media reported a "difficult security incident" in South Lebanon, which forced helicopters to transport at least seven Israeli soldiers to a hospital in Haifa.

The Israeli army announced that it had intercepted five rockets fired from Lebanon towards Haifa.

The Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichai Adraee, stated on X that "the forces of the 8th Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, are continuing their operations in southern Lebanon, engaging in direct confrontations with Hezbollah agents and striving to eliminate them and destroy the infrastructure that Hezbollah has established along the border."

The army "seized a series of weapons, including dozens of rocket-propelled grenades, Kalashnikov rifles, Kornet missiles, hand grenades and various ammunition belonging to the Radwan force," according to the statement.

Several weapons depots equipped with dozens of rockets were discovered inside civilian buildings, according to the text.

Adraee also announced the discovery of "underground infrastructure at the heart of a village, including hideouts and numerous combat means."
