Clashes continued on Thursday between Hezbollah and the Israeli army in Ras al-Naqoura amid continuous bombardment of the towns and localities of the caza of Tyre, especially al-Bazouriya and Mayfadoun, where several deaths and injuries were reported.

Five people were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in Mahrouna.

Additionally, Israeli fighter jets shelled al-Shaaitiyeh, al-Jebbayn and Qalaouiyeh. Israeli raids extended to the middle sector, targeting Kounine, Dhayra and Khirbet Selm.

Another series of raids targeted Khiam and Aita al-Shaab, and a house was bombed in al-Maashouq, east of Tyre.

The intense raids came after a warning issued by the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichae Adraee, who wrote on his X account, “Attention, our forces continue to attack Hezbollah positions in and near the southern villages; therefore, you are prohibited from returning to the homes you evacuated until further notice.”

On the other hand, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) stated that “the Israeli army targeted a guard tower of the International Emergency Force at our headquarters in Ras al-Naqoura.”

In a statement, UNIFIL accused the Israeli army of “repeatedly shelling” its headquarters in Naqoura and neighboring positions.

“Two peacekeepers were injured after an Israeli Merkava tank fired at an observation tower at UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura,” UNIFIL added.

In northern Beqaa, in the town of Hosh al-Sayyed near the Syrian border, Israeli bombing resulted in the injury of six Lebanese Army soldiers close to a checkpoint. Injuries were reported to be "light," according to a Lebanese military source.

In parallel, the caza of Hermel was subjected to consecutive air raids.

Central Beqaa witnessed Israeli shelling on al-Karak town, killing four people and injuring seventeen others, according to the Public Health Operations Center. Debris removal is still ongoing at the targeted area.

Also, in the caza of Zahle, specifically in the town of Rayak, Israeli fighter jets carried out intense raids on Thursday afternoon.

Moreover, shelling was reported in the west Beqaa, on the town of Sohmor, Thursday morning, which led to two casualties.

Attacks on the town of Maydoun caused extensive damage to homes and property.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for “targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers close to Yaroun’s graveyard.”

In another statement, the pro-Iranian group declared that it “launched a rocket-propelled grenade at an Israeli force trying to withdraw casualties, for the third time, from the targeted vehicle in the Ras al-Naqoura.”

Earlier on Friday, Hezbollah had claimed “destroying a Merkava tank in Ras al-Naqoura by guided rocket weaponry, causing fatalities and injuries.”
