Joe Salloum, head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, urged the government to “direct the competent authorities to retrieve medication from pharmacies that have been closed due to the devastating Israeli assault.”
In a statement issued on Saturday, Salloum emphasized that “this process should be carried out in coordination with the relevant pharmacies and the syndicate.”
“This action is crucial to preserving pharmaceutical security, as eliminating such a large quantity of medicines would be detrimental,” he noted, adding that it would also assist pharmacy owners who have suffered displacement or aggression.
Notably, on October 1, Salloum stated in an interview with MTV that “there is daily communication with the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to secure pharmacy warehouses and prevent any interruption in the supply of medication.”
