Abiad: 1,974 Killed in Israeli Strikes, Including Medics and Children
Caretaker Health Minister Firas Al-Abiad declared on Thursday that 1,974 people, including 127 children and 97 members of medical and emergency teams, have been killed and dozens of medical centers damaged in Israeli airstrikes since October 8.

The health minister refuted Israel's claims about the presence of weapons in hospitals.

“Israel's claims about the presence of weapons in hospitals are false, and we reject such accusations.”

He also said that more than 10 hospitals were impacted and sustained losses as a result of the Israeli airstrikes.

Abiad said that the death toll, which skyrocketed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in the past couple of weeks, has risen to 1,974 people, including 127 children and 261 women, with 9,384 injured.
