Israeli Airstrike Targets House in Baadaran, Shouf Region





Israeli airstrikes continue to target various regions in Lebanon, escalating tensions and causing widespread damage and casualties.





On Friday night, an Israeli airstrike on Baadaran in the Shouf targeted a rented house belonging to displaced people from the south, resulting in several injuries. This marks the first time that raids have targeted a location in the Shouf region since the beginning of the escalation between Hezbollah and Israel last week.











Israeli airstrikes continued in southern Lebanon on Friday afternoon, coinciding with a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In the latest developments, Sheikh Hussein Jaffal, the imam of Blida, was targeted along with some members of his family in an Israeli airstrike that hit their home in Rchaf (Bint Jbeil district). Seven people were injured, but the exact number of dead and wounded has yet to be confirmed.

Later, several people were reported injured following an attack on a building in Aaknoun.

Four airstrikes were also reported at the Lebanese-Syrian border, near the Matraba crossing.

Alarm sirens sounded at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura due to the intensity of the strikes.

The home of the president of the municipal council of Aitit was also targeted by an Israeli airstrike, with several injuries reported.

Israeli bombardments also struck areas east of Tyre, around Maaroub and Chehabiyye, as well as Srifa (Tyre district), Zebqine, Chamaa, and Ramadiyye. Strikes were also reported near Ghaziyye (Sidon district) and the surrounding areas of Aqtanit and Kennarit.

Israeli warplanes additionally targeted the regions of Mlikh, Jabal al-Rihane, and Jezzine.

The body of a woman was recovered from the rubble of a house hit on Wednesday in Tyre's industrial zone. Rescue efforts are still underway to locate her daughter's body.

Bekaa and Baalbek

In the Bekaa Valley, Israeli forces heavily bombarded the western and eastern mountain ranges, hitting Nabi Ayla in Central Bekaa, as well as Shmustar, Nabi Sheet, and Durres in Northern Bekaa. Towns including Bodai, Baalbek Road, Bednayel, Ablah, Adous, and Tariya were also targeted.

In Western Bekaa, two airstrikes hit the vicinity of Meidoun and Jabal Abu Rashid. Israeli jets also bombed Harabta and Ras al-Hadath in Northern Bekaa.

Hezbollah's Response

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for attacks on the settlements of Kiryat Ata, Ilania, and the town of Tiberias. The group also stated that it had targeted the Biyaad Blida site.
