Local TV channel MTV has revealed that French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit Lebanon next week, between September 24 and 25, and the Quintet (France, Saudi Arabia, United States, Egypt and Qatar) is awaiting the results of his visit to decide on the next steps.
Information also noted that "there will be no meeting of the Quintet committee at the residence of the Saudi ambassador on Tuesday, especially since the Egyptian ambassador is on vacation abroad."
Regarding the possibility of a dialogue under Le Drian's leadership, sources within the Quintet disclosed that "nothing is ruled out.”
“Let's wait for Le Drian's visit, and then we'll proceed step by step,” the source added.
