Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander, General Joseph Aoun, signed a cooperation agreement with the President of the Order of Malta, Marwan Sehnaoui, on Tuesday.
The agreement signals a commitment to jointly implement development, life, and social projects, complementing previous cooperation in the field of health, between the two sides.
In a statement to This is Beirut, the Order of Malta indicated that this memorandum of understanding (MoU) builds on the long-standing partnership between the Order and the LAF. This partnership has been instrumental in delivering primary healthcare services to remote and sensitive areas in the country. The expanded scope of the MoU now includes a focus on broader developmental initiatives, reflecting a shared vision for the country's future.
According to the Order of Malta, "The collaboration between the LAF and the Order of Malta Lebanon has played a crucial role in providing essential healthcare to underserved communities."
