Several blasts sounded simultaneously on Friday evening in the vicinity of the Syrian cities of Homs and Hama, following several Israeli raids, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
These included airstrikes targeting fuel depots west of Homs. According to the London-based NGO, these are controlled by Hezbollah.
The SOHR also reports that, in parallel, other strikes were carried out against warehouses located near the city of Hama, also believed to belong to Hassan Nasrallah's group.
"Israeli strikes hit makeshift petrol stations affiliated to Hezbollah in the Homs countryside, and struck weapons depots belonging to the group as well as two Syrian army sites in the Hama countryside," SOHR director Rami Abdel Rahman said to AFP.

According to local media reports, this latest raid targeted the Maarin al-Jabal scientific research center, where members of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are believed to be present. A number of Iranian advisors were reportedly killed in the attack, although this information cannot be confirmed at this stage.
Meanwhile, Syrian state news agency SANA reported that seven civilians were wounded in the strikes.
The Syrian regime's air defenses tried to counter these raids, but without success, according to the NGO.
Since the beginning of 2024, the SOHR has counted at least 60 Israeli attacks on Syrian territory. These strikes have wounded and destroyed around 122 targets, including arms and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles.
In April, a deadly Israeli raid on an Iranian diplomatic building provoked Tehran to retaliate with over 300 drones and missiles. Almost all were intercepted, according to the Israeli Army.
