The Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), Mohamad Karaki, has issued a request to the relevant financial services to transfer 45 billion Lebanese pounds to hospitals. This sum is intended to pay for treatment of dialysis patients.
This brings the total amount paid out since the beginning of the year to 626 billion pounds. Less than two weeks ago, another disbursement of 60 billion pounds was also made. These transfers are part of NSSF management's commitment to making monthly payments to hospitals, so that they are able to continue operating and provide the best possible health service to insured persons.
This periodic procedure, specifically set up to provide 100% coverage for dialysis patients, will also apply to hospitalization for surgical procedures.
