Bahaa Hariri in Beirut: The Future Movement Is Worried
In the Future Movement, discontent has been expressed about Bahaa Hariri's visit to Lebanon. This concern is said to stem from Bahaa's alleged attempt to build up his popularity in the absence of his brother, Saad.

What worries the Future Movement are the contacts Bahaa intends to make with Sunni political forces, with a view to enhancing the image of the movement he founded and named Al-Massar.

A Lebanese political figure, speaking from Paris, said that “Saad Hariri has no plans to return to Beirut in the near future, at least not before the election of a President of the Republic and the end of the current Parliament's term.”

“Saad will remain in Abu Dhabi until circumstances are favorable for his return to Lebanon, making his presence necessary,” the same source added.

Additionally, a leading figure in the March 14 Movement quoted Saad Hariri as saying that “his gamble on the Lebanese political forces to build a prosperous state was lost.”

“The political forces that should have taken sovereignist positions preferred other foreign allegiances, which led to the dismantling of the March 14 forces,” according to the same source.
