Arab League: Hezbollah No Longer Classified as Terrorist Organization
Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Hossam Zaki announced on Saturday that the League no longer classifies Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. This came in a televised statement to Cairo News Channel, following his visit to Beirut.

Zaki explained that "previous resolutions of the League included labeling Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, which led to the severance of communication with the pro-Iranian formation." "However, member states agreed not to use this wording, which made it possible to communicate with Hezbollah," he said.

"The Arab League does not have official terrorist lists, and its efforts do not include designating entities as terrorist organizations," he added.
