Gen. J. Aoun: The Army Stands Firm Despite Great Challenges
The Army's Commander-in-Chief, General Joseph Aoun, affirmed that "the military institution will continue to perform its duty despite all attempts to tarnish its image and hinder its work.”

Speaking to graduating officers at the Fouad Chehab Academy for Command and Staff on Tuesday, Aoun said, "Our country is strong and standing, so don't worry about rumors. I see in your eyes the determination and will to preserve the military institution despite the current crisis, particularly in south Lebanon, due to repeated Israeli attacks," hoping that "attempts to reach a truce will succeed.”

The Army's Commander-in-Chief stressed that "passing the Staff Course is an important achievement,” noting that officers are entering a new phase, where they play a key role as advisors in major units, enabling them to assume command positions later on.

"You have passed the Staff Course under difficult circumstances, and during one of the most challenging stages in the Army's history, but the military institution remains resilient thanks to your efforts and those of your comrades, as well as your confidence and faith in the sanctity of your mission," he added.
