Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Wednesday that “Israel is prepared for strong action” against Lebanon, Israeli media reported.
On a tour in Kiryat Shmona in north Israel, Netanyahu declared that “whoever thinks that they can harm us and we will sit idly by is making a big mistake,” promising to “restore security to the north, in one way or another.”
“Yesterday, the land burned here and I am happy that you put out the fire, but the land burned in Lebanon as well,” he added.
The evacuated Israeli towns near the border with Lebanon have been subjected to intense attacks by Hezbollah’s missiles and drones which resulted in massive fires.
