At an event held at the Holcom Group headquarters in Beirut, Cablevision announced the launch of a new strategic partnership with beIN MEDIA GROUP, one of the world's leading sports and entertainment networks.
The event was marked by the presence of Qatar's ambassador to Lebanon, SE. Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
This strategic partnership will enable the company to secure exclusive redistribution rights for beIN channels (via MVDS, DVBC, IPTV, and Analog networks), providing subscribers in Lebanon with exclusive and comprehensive coverage of major sporting events, including the European Football Championship from June 14 to July 14, as well as the FIFA World Cup 2026 and other major international sporting events. Thanks to this strategic cooperation, viewers in Lebanon can access sports and entertainment coverage while preserving the beIN group's rights in Lebanon.
For his part, Jassim al-Muftah, beIN's Corporate Communications Director for the North Africa and Middle East region, who flew in specially from Doha for the occasion, said that Lebanon is a key market for beIN and viewers across Lebanon will now be able to enjoy the wide range of sports and entertainment channels, including over 30 flagship beIN SPORTS channels as well as entertainment channels on beIN MOVIES, beIN SERIES. “beIN holds one of the largest sports rights portfolios in the world, covering soccer, tennis, basketball, and much more, and is the leading destination in the North Africa and Middle East region for sports fans, broadcasting in three languages: Arabic, English, and French,” he added.
As for the Ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, he affirmed Qatar's support for Lebanon in all areas. He stressed that the strategic partnership between Cablevision and the beIN media group represents a pioneering step in media cooperation between Qatar and Lebanon.
