The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced on Friday that a hotline has been set up to report cases of digital abuse or blackmail.
The telephone assistance service (dial 112) and the online service (https://isf.gov.lb/ar/report) are now available.
The Directorate also released two main recommendations for individuals to follow online, namely to “not communicate with strangers via social media” and to not send “private photos."
This service comes as a reaction following the "TikTok gang" incident that occurred just 48 hours ago. The ISF announced on Wednesday that they had arrested six individuals accused of soliciting children for sexual purposes through the TikTok app.
