Two individuals were arrested on Monday in an attempt to smuggle 40 kilograms of hashish concealed inside a piano.
According to the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF), the network was preparing to smuggle the hahish to Ecuador via Rafic Hariri International Airport. The two men, T.M. (born in 1990) and R.K. (born in 1964), are of Lebanese nationality.
“Legal procedures were carried out against the detainees based on the reference of the competent judiciary, and search and investigation reports were circulated for the rest of those involved; their arrest is ongoing,” concluded the statement.
