Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamiye declared on Sunday morning that Lebanon "has reopened its airspace at 7 AM, and the airport will gradually resume normal operations today."
"Operations should return to normal by the end of the day," he announced during a tour of the airport.
Following the Iranian attack on Israel on Saturday night, Hamiye said that he had ordered the closure of Lebanese airspace from 1 AM to 7 AM, "to preserve passengers’ safety."
Lebanon’s flag carrier, the Middle East Airlines, announced on Saturday night that it was postponing all its flights scheduled for Sunday April 14, maintaining 5 flights to Europe at 9 AM. It subsequently rescheduled three flights:

- ME203, from London to Beirut, at 21:30 GMT (00:30 AM).
- ME431, from Dubai to Beirut, at 12:45 PM Dubai time (1:45 PM Lebanon time).
Later, MEA announced that it was maintaining its scheduled flights from Beirut to Doha and to Abu Dhabi at 3:00 PM Beirut time.
