Banque De L'habitat: Cabinet Accepts Request for Loan From Abu Dhabi Fund
During its meeting on Thursday, the Council of Ministers approved the request made by the Banque de l'Habitat (BDH) for a subsidized loan from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. The government agreed to entrust the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) with the task of contacting the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and requesting a loan for BDH.

It should be noted that the Council of Ministers approved this request on the basis of documents showing that "BDH has expressed its commitment to the conditions of the loan it obtained in 1993."

On this occasion, BDH Chairman and CEO Antoine Habib thanked Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the caretaker ministers, Development and Reconstruction Council Chairman Nabil Al-Jisr and his team for their efforts to support BDH.

As a reminder, the Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development had granted a loan of 50 million Kuwaiti dinars, equivalent to $165 million dollars, to BDH.
