Central Security Meeting Discusses Security Measures for the Holidays
The caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi, chaired a meeting of the Central Internal Security Council to discuss the internal security measures that will be taken during the holidays.

"The Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, assured us that a number of measures were decided to protect places of worship and places where people gather in large numbers during the holidays."


He added that a deployment plan was presented. "Up to 800 security agents and 200 motorized forces will be deployed in addition to dozens of patrols to ensure the safety of the citizens," he noted, adding that "all security services were asked to help be present on the ground during the holidays."
