The Faculty of History and International Relations at USJ organized a roundtable discussion, moderated by journalist Marianne Zouein, around a documentary broadcast by the Lebanese TV channel MTV on the struggle of the Lebanese between the years 2000 and 2005 until the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon. The discussion focused on a debate that highlighted the complexity of the political situation in Lebanon and the need to achieve a third independence.
The panel included MPs Marwan Hamadeh and Antoine Habchi, former MPs Fares Souhaid and Moustapha Allouche, journalist Kassem Kassir, and Father Edmond Bakhache.
