The famous Lebanese newspaper launched a campaign entitled "L'Orient-Le Siècle" to mark its centenary.
L'Orient-Le Jour was founded in 1971, as a result of the merger of two daily newspapers, L'Orient, founded in 1924, and Le Jour, founded in 1934.
