Following the Israeli strike on Ghazieh on Monday evening, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement urging countries interested in restoring stability to southern Lebanon “to condemn the ongoing Israeli assaults.”
In the statement, the Ministry called on the international community to pressure Israel to halt its provocative actions, “given its threat to the security and stability of Lebanon and the entire region, which will only result in calamity and devastation.”
Moreover, Saida MP Dr. Abdel Rahman al-Bizri denounced what he called a "dangerous escalation" by Israel following its attack on Ghazieh. He characterized the assault as part of a pattern of repeated strikes on civilian-populated areas, citing recent incidents in Nabatieh and Jadra, north of Saida.
Thursday’s strike on Ghazieh hit two warehouses, leaving over a dozen injured and no casualties.
