Hariri Receives Invitation to Visit Russia
Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri has received an invitation to visit Moscow, Russia, during a recent meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. George Shaaban, Hariri's representative in Russia, confirmed the invitation, stating that the date of the visit will be determined in due course. Shaaban highlighted the consistent communication between Hariri's camp and Russian leadership, emphasizing the mutual interest in addressing regional challenges and maintaining Lebanon's stability, sovereignty, and independence.

The invitation is seen as part of Russia's broader initiative to engage with various Lebanese political forces, aiming to bridge differences and prevent further escalation of conflicts in Lebanon and neighboring Syria. Russia has maintained a steadfast commitment to facilitating dialogue and consensus-building among key stakeholders in Lebanon, with a focus on expediting the election of a new president through inclusive consultations and constructive dialogue.
