The Constitutional Council has failed to reach a decision regarding the appeal lodged by the Free Patriotic Movement concerning the postponement of the retirement of the heads of the State's military and security apparatus, namely Commander-in-Chief of the Army Joseph Aoun and Director of the Internal Security Forces Imad Othman.
As a result, the law passed in Parliament in this respect is applicable.
