At the same time, The Defence Office for the Families of the Victims submitted a request before the Court of Cassation and filed an appeal against Judge Sabbouh Sleiman's decison in stopping the implementation of the arrest warrant in absentia against former Minister Youssef Fenianos in the port file, considering that this authority belongs to the judicial investigator Tarek Al-Bitar. They also demanded removing Sleiman from the case, to which he rejected being notified.
