Saydet al-Jabal: Accepting Iran's Grip on Lebanon Is 'National Treachery'
The Saydet al-Jabal Gathering described "accepting the grip Iran has on Lebanon, which it executes through its allies," as "national treachery."

In a statement issued on Monday at the end of its weekly meeting, Saydet al-Jabal called on citizens and politicians to make a decision about their priorities: putting Lebanon or Iran first.

"We reject all attempts made by Palestinians and some Lebanese to take our country back to 1969 (the signing of the Cairo Agreement between army commander General Emile Boustany and the Palestine Liberation Organization, granting Palestinians the right to exist in Lebanon) and 1975 (the start of the war in Lebanon)," the statement read.

Saydet al-Jabal asserts that the Lebanese people "must admit that their country is taken hostage by Iran and its allies and then work to free it by all possible means."
