Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil started a tour of Tripoli in North Lebanon early on Sunday afternoon by meeting MPs Taha Naji and Faysal Karameh from the pro-Hezbollah National Consensus bloc. Discussions tackled Lebanon's general situation, the conditions in Tripoli and the North.

Meanwhile, several residents of Tripoli protested against Bassil’s visit by showering his convoy with eggs and tomatoes, while the army moved in to stabilize the situation and prevent further confrontations.
