Reports from various media outlets indicate that approximately 50 rockets were launched on Sunday from southern Lebanon, targeting Kiryat Shmona and Beit Hillel in northern Israel.

“We have added the new settlement of Beit Hillel to our list of targets and bombarded it for the first time with dozens of Katyusha rockets,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
Sirens sounded across multiple areas in the Upper Galilee as a warning of incoming rocket fires.

“The shelling of Beit Hillel is in retaliation for the attacks on our villages of Kfar Kila and Deir Seryan, which injured civilians,” the statement read.

The pro-Iranian group also claimed responsibility for an attack on the Malikya and Manara positions.

These developments come amid global anticipation of a military response from Iran and Hezbollah following Israel’s assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, in Tehran on Wednesday and its claimed responsibility for the assassination of senior Hezbollah leader Fouad Shokr in Beirut on Tuesday evening.

On Sunday, an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in the town of Rab Thalathin; however, no injuries were reported. One person was reported killed after an Israeli raid targeting a house in Hula.

Three people were injured following an Israeli raid on Beit Lif, which targeted a house near the main square.

Artillery shells hit the villages of Ramya, Aïtaroun and Beit Lif, while phosphorus shells were fired towards the Birket el-Nakkar area in the south of Shebaa.

On Saturday night and into Sunday, the Israeli Army fired illumination flares over border villages near the Blue Line and incendiary bombs into forests close to the Blue Line. At dawn, they also directed heavy machine gun fire at the town of Aita al-Shaab in the central sector.

According to the Israeli media, a factory in Kiryat Shmona was targeted by a missile fired from Lebanon.

Hezbollah announced that it had targeted and destroyed surveillance equipment at the Ramya site.

In response, the Israeli Army announced it had targeted a Hezbollah rocket-launching platform in the Marjayoun area in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli Air Force bombed the Hezbollah rocket-launching platform and additional infrastructure in the Marjayoun area, the Army stated. “This was in response to the launch of approximately 30 rockets from southern Lebanon by Hezbollah,” it added.

Israeli artillery fired to eliminate threats in the Odaisseh area. “After sirens were heard in northern Israel during the night, around 30 rockets were detected as being launched from Lebanon, most of which were intercepted by the Israeli defense system. One rocket was detected landing in the Beit Hillel area, with several others landing in open areas. No injuries have been reported,” the Israeli Army stated.

The Israeli artillery also swept through the village of Aïta el-Chaab with heavy machine guns.
