US envoy Amos Hochstein said on Saturday that the Biden administration is doing all it can to limit the spread of the war in southern Lebanon, stressing that “it is important for the inhabitants of border villages to return to their homes.”

In an interview with CNBC, Hochstein said that “the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border had changed after October 7,”  adding that “it was the responsibility of the United States to further support the Lebanese army and the economy in southern Lebanon, which would also require international support from Europe and the Gulf states.”
