Clashes escalated in South Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon where a civilian riding a motorcycle was killed in an Israeli attack that targeted the Rab Thalathin reservoir.

Firebombing and phosphorus bombing occurred in Blida, Mohaybib, Khiam, Hula, Markaba and Aitaroun. Four shells fell on Jdeidet Marjayoun.

An Israeli Merkava tank fired shells at Yaroun, and an interceptor missile hit a house in Bint Jbeil, injuring a Syrian national and his son. Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted an unoccupied home in Aita al-Shaab with a guided missile.

Israeli bombardments also targeted Marwahin, Blida, Hula, Wadi Estebel, Labbouneh, Chehin, Tayr Harfa, Jebin, Mays al-Jabal and Naqoura.

A shell fell on the Khallet Abu Zeid road near an inhabited area in Rmeish, creating a large crater. An airstrike involving several missiles occurred in the afternoon southeast of Maroun al-Ras.

According to Israeli media, sirens sounded in northern Israel in settlements close to the border with Lebanon. The Israeli army spokesman announced that the Hebrew state army’s defense network had successfully intercepted “a suspicious aerial target from Lebanon.” Rocket and missile alerts were activated due to the fallout of fragments from the interceptor. In response to this attack, fighter jets struck Hezbollah targets in Shtula, including infrastructure, military installations, a weapons depot and launch pads.

Direct fire from Lebanon also hit Israeli positions at Birkat Risha and Hadb al-Bustan in the western sector.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on the Metula settlement. The pro-Iranian party also announced that it targeted a Merkava tank, destroying it and killing and wounding its occupants. Hezbollah later announced the death of four of its fighters today, bringing the number of fighters killed in clashes with Israel to over 110 since October 8, one day after the war broke out in Gaza following Hamas’s unprecedented attack on Israel.

Later in the afternoon, six rockets fell on the Upper Galilee from Lebanon. Loud explosions were heard in Kiryat Shmona, where alarm sirens sounded. Later, the al-Qassam Brigades (in Lebanon) claimed responsibility for a targeted attack with 12 missiles on the Kiryat Shmona barracks “in response to the civilian massacres in Gaza.”
