For the 26th consecutive year, the Saint Antoine de Padoue (Saint Anthony of Padua) Group is organizing its food bank on Saturday December 16 and Sunday December 17 under the theme of mutual aid.

The aim is to provide food for several weeks to some 500 families living in precarious conditions.

To this end, the scouts and guides of the Saint Antoine de Padoue Group will be present at the doors of more than 40 supermarkets in various areas of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, seeking non-perishable food products such as rice, pulses, canned foods, pasta, oil …

The collected foodstuff will then be transported to the parish headquarters in Horsh Tabet by volunteers who will make supermarket rounds several times a day. The food will be sorted and divided into boxes.

Some of the collected foodstuff will also go to the parish’s Saint Antoine kitchen, which provides 400 hot meals a week to 200 people in need.
