Hamas representative in Lebanon Ahmad Abdel Hadi announced on Tuesday “two responses” to the Israeli raid on Gaza, that killed 13 people, including children and three leaders of Islamic Jihad. The raids came less than a week after a truce was announced between Israel and Islamic Jihad fighters.

“The first response took place,” he said, pointing out that its results were “enormous, since it paralyzed the Zionist entity”. “The second response will take place soon”, added Abdel Hadi, in a message on social media. He further pointed out that “it is the resistance that runs the war against the enemy. (…) What is constant is that it will always prevail over the enemy”.

Israeli Security Council announced on Channel 12 that the Jewish state “will not stand idly in the face of a response launched from Lebanon”.

In the evening, UNIFIL and Lebanese army units patrolled along the Blue Line to “maintain security”.

Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in a press release early evening Tuesday, the strikes against Gaza and called for international intervention to prevent escalation in Gaza.
