According to a report by US officials obtained by the Wall Street Journal, Hezbollah could benefit from anti-aircraft systems from the Russian paramilitary group Wagner as tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border escalate.

The paramilitary group, which played an important role in the Moscow war in Ukraine, might be in talks to supply SA-22 Pantsir systems to Hezbollah, which uses missiles and air defense guns to intercept aircraft.

Wagner already has such platforms in Syria.

While the potential delivery of this system is a major source of concern for the Pentagon, the report notes that the system has not been delivered yet.
