The U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, met with the Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in Washington on Thursday, November 2, to discuss the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the necessity of strengthening stability in the region, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

During the meeting, the two ministers examined the solid strategic ties between their countries and considered avenues for strengthening them. They also discussed collaborative actions and coordination to reduce regional tensions. Furthermore, they delved into partnership domains between their amicable nations, aligning with their mutual commitment to bolstering regional and global security and stability.

“The Secretary affirmed the importance of addressing humanitarian needs in Gaza, preventing further spread of the conflict, and reinforcing regional stability and security, including in Yemen,” the U.S. state department said on Wednesday.

“He also emphasized the importance of working toward sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians, a shared priority of both the United States and Saudi Arabia,” the state department added.
