The feeling of uncertainty engulfs thousands of migrants at the US-Mexico border as Title 42, a pandemic-related immigration restriction, is lifted overnight, leaving US authorities to vigourously implement new rules.

In November 2020, and then in July and September 2021, our colleague Maxime Pluvinet ventured to the Mexican northern border to document the plight of migrants from Central America, Venezuela, and Haiti, who found themselves indefinitely trapped in limbo.
