The Round of 16 at the Euro continues in Germany on Sunday with two more exciting clashes. England, heavily criticized so far, will face Slovakia at 7 PM. Georgia will dream of another upset against the heavily favored Spain (Beirut time).

7:00 PM: England vs. Slovakia

England faces Slovakia at 7 PM on Sunday. Despite topping their group and having a lower-ranked opponent, the English team will be in the spotlight. The reason is the heavily criticized tactical choices of coach Gareth Southgate.

After a second goalless draw against Slovenia in the group stage, the coach faced a barrage of criticism and even cup-throwing incidents. According to the British press, the team still has much to prove. “Rarely has first place felt so flat. A sense of emptiness,” stated The Telegraph.

10:00 PM: Spain vs. Georgia

One of the surprises of this Euro, Georgia takes on Spain. The Caucasus country, participating in an international competition for the first time in its history, qualified for the Round of 16 by surprisingly beating Ronaldo’s Portugal (2-0).

Georgia will attempt another upset against a very formidable Spanish team. It’s a challenge the Euro’s underdog is ready to take on. “What is certain is that we will fight until the last minute,” assured their coach, former French player Willy Sagnol.

Spain, three-time European champions (in 1960, 2008, and 2012), is the favorite for this match and even for the Euro after winning all their group stage matches in the so-called “group of death.” La Roja can count on their young Barcelona prodigy, Lamine Yamal, just 16 years old, the youngest player in the competition’s history.
