Two Clashes to Start the Knockout Stage of This Euro. On Saturday at 7 PM, reigning European champions Italy will face unbeaten Switzerland in the group stage for a decisive Round of 16 match at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. 7:00 PM: Switzerland vs. Italy

Reigning European champions, the Italians do not enter this Euro as favorites. After a (2-1) victory over Albania, despite trailing early in the match, Luciano Spalletti’s men were then outclassed (1-0) by Spain. An equalizer from Mattia Zaccagni in the 98th minute against Croatia secured the Nazionale’s qualification for the Round of 16 by the narrowest of margins.

10:00 PM: Germany vs. Denmark

Three-time winners of the competition, Germany hopes to add a fourth title to their record, in front of their home crowd. To achieve this, the Germans must first overcome Denmark in the Round of 16 on Saturday. After a solid start with a (5-1) victory over Scotland, Julian Nagelsmann’s team continued by dominating Hungary (2-0), before drawing against a convincing Swiss team (1-1).

Led by their coach Kasper Hjulmand, the Danes will try to upset the German favorites. A semi-finalist in the last Euro, Denmark finished second in Group C after a series of three draws against Slovenia (1-1), England (1-1), and Serbia (0-0).

Facing them is an unbeaten Swiss team in the group stage. After starting their Euro campaign perfectly with a (3-1) victory over Hungary, Murat Yakin’s players followed up with two draws, first against Scotland (1-1), and then against Germany (1-1).
