“Pace” officially announced the biggest padel tennis event in Lebanon and the region, entitled “World Champions Challenge,” to be held next Sunday under the supervision of the Lebanese Padel Tennis Federation at the Nouhad Nawfal complex (Zouk Mikael).

The event, which will welcome world-class padel tennis stars, was unveiled at an impressive press conference at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut.

Halawi: A Unique Experience

The president of the organizing committee, Wael Halawi, expressed his passion for the sport and his desire to show that Lebanon can organize a major sporting event despite the difficult conditions.

He announced the participation of world champions such as Spain’s Arturo Coello (world number 1), Argentina’s Agustin Tapia (number 3), Spain’s Juan Lebron (number 4) and Paquito Navarro (number 6), as well as top Lebanese players.

In response to a question, Halawi explained that the Lebanese players had been selected according to specific criteria, with a commission responsible for choosing the names. He also explained the system of the competition, which will take place on Sunday, and invited the Lebanese to attend the event at the stadium.

Halawi thanked Sheikh Joey Daher, General Manager of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI), and Mohamed Yemen, President of the Lebanese Padel Tennis Federation, for their support.

Yaman: A Unique and Grandiose Event

Mohamed Yaman, President of the Lebanese Padel Federation, underlined the rapid growth of the padel community in Lebanon and internationally. He stressed the Federation’s mission to promote the sport in all Lebanese regions, noting the significant increase in the number of players. Yaman praised Wael Halawi’s courage in organizing this international event, which reflects his passion for padel.

The Federation supports such initiatives and plans to organize the first Lebanese Padel Championship starting next month. Yaman encouraged padel clubs to join the Federation and welcomed the rapid progress of the sport.

Matches will start at 9:00 AM on Sunday morning, with the “dream match” scheduled for 9:30 PM Beirut time.
