Beirut SC won the Antoine Choueiri Cup for the year 2023-2024 after defeating Antonin Sportif Club 72-55.

It is worth noting that Beirut won three titles in the 2023-2024 season: Champion of the Doha Friendly Tournament, Arab Club Champion and Champion of the Antoine Choueiri Cup (Lebanese Cup).

Honorary Title

Beirut SC’s victory in the cup is a good step on which they can build for next year, knowing that the team’s ambitions were much higher, but circumstances led to the team only winning the local cup this year.

In an interview, the team’s director, Joseph Abdel Massih, confirmed that they have not yet started preparing for the next season, indicating that all possibilities are being considered regarding changes in the technical staff and some players. He also emphasized that this year’s experience with foreign players was an important lesson.

Looking back at the match, the top scorer was Ali Haidar with 23 points, while on the Antonin Sportif Club side, the top scorer was Mark Abi Kheres with 17 points.

It was a good first season for coach Joe Ghattas, with more to come in terms of transfers for top teams in the upcoming period. It is certain that the next season will be intense, as Lebanese basketball has gotten us accustomed to.
