The first international table tennis tournament for men and women, organized by the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation under the supervision of the International Federation, concluded on the tables of Al-Kawthar High School in Beirut.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Youth and Sports, MP Simon Abi Ramia, the Cuban Ambassador to Lebanon, George Leon, a member of the International Federation and President of the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation, George Kopali, the Honorary President of the Lebanese Federation, Salim Hajj Nicolas, the table tennis community in Lebanon, members of the administrative committee, various committees, coaches, players, fans of the game, as well as representatives from the press and media.

Here are the results of the final matches:

– Men’s singles final: Sathyan Gnanasekaran (India) defeated Manav Vikash Thakkar (India) (3-1).

– Men’s doubles final: Andy Pereira and Jorge Campos (Cuba) defeated Manush Utpalbhai Sahah and Manav Vikash Thakkar (India) (3-1).

– Mixed doubles final: Manush Utpalbhai Sahah and Diya Parag Sheetal (India) defeated Manav Vikash Thakkar and Archana Girish Kamath (India) (3-1).

– Women’s singles final: Xia Lian Ni (Luxembourg) defeated Cho Hyo Won (Korea) (3-0).

– Women’s doubles final: Du Hua Kim and Zhou Xingzhu (Hong Kong) defeated Chantal Mantz (Germany) and Izabela Lupulescu (Serbia) (3-1).

Following the matches, Abi Ramia, Kopali, Leon and El Hajj Nicola presented the winners with their prizes.

The second international tournament got underway on Friday morning, with 250 players from 42 countries taking part. Winners and runners-up will receive points to be added to their international rankings.
