Club Satellity, Lebanon’s reigning men’s water polo champions, took third place and the bronze medal at the “Masters Water Games Championship” held in the Qatari capital, Doha. This marks Lebanon’s debut in the history of this championship, with dozens of teams representing fifty countries from all over the world at its 2024 edition.

Club Satellity was the only Arab team in the water polo competition, where Italy’s Ferizi won the title and Slovakia’s Kožíš took second place. Club Satellity proudly took third place.

Club Satellity’s representatives were: Walid Kanaan (team captain), Sevak Demirdjian, Nicolas Rammouz, Tony Najem, Nadim Ghattas, Christian Zabbal, Arsene Orunchlian, Alex Shever, Alexander Daninka, Oleg Karaktfch, Mark Bulroyel and Peter Doroslovački (coach).

Michel Habchi, president and founder of Club Satellity (also vice-president of the Lebanese Swimming Federation), pointed out that the club continued to carry the name of Lebanese water polo on the international stage for many years. It consistently and deservedly won the Lebanese championship title for over a decade. Habchi congratulated the team on its podium finish in this prestigious international competition, marking a new sporting achievement for Lebanon.
