Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) claimed the Champions Trophy by defeating Toulouse 2-0, with goals from Lee Kang-in and Kylian Mbappe in the first half.

Lee scored in the third minute, and Mbappe added a second goal just before halftime. The win marked PSG’s 10th Champions Trophy in the last 11 seasons.

The match took place at the Parc des Princes, deviating from the tradition of staging it abroad. PSG coach Luis Enrique praised his team’s exceptional performance in the first half.

Lee Kang-in, who scored the opening goal, is set to join the South Korean national team for the Asian Cup in Qatar.

Toulouse, last season’s French Cup winners, nearly equalized before halftime, but PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made a crucial save. Mbappe’s goal before the interval secured the victory.

Achraf Hakimi hit the post in the second half, and new signing Lucas Beraldo made his debut.

Milan Skriniar suffered an injury, and Luis Enrique expressed concern about his availability for upcoming games.

Hakimi and Lee are set to participate in continental competitions (Africa Cup of Nations and Asian Cup, respectively), and their return to PSG will be just before the Champions League last-16 tie against Real Sociedad on February 14.
