The 157 km race between the towns of Annemasse and Morzine featured a total of 4100 meters of positive ascent. The pack criss-crossed the roads of Haute-Savoie in a scorching heatwave, with average temperatures hovering around 40°C. This event between Annemasse and Morzine will also be the 14th stage of the Tour de France next Saturday, July 15. A record 13,500 riders from all over the world took part in L’Étape du Tour, which also saw a record number of withdrawals due to the difficulty of the climbs and the scorching heat.

Frenchman Artus Jaladeau, 23, won the men’s race, while 36-year-old Czech rider Martina Sablikova dominated the women’s race from start to finish.

As for Abdo Nader, his participation in L’Étape du Tour was sponsored by Lebanon by Bike and the Tour du Liban association, with technical support from Bike Zone – Salah Rabah Foundation.
