The Israeli Army’s Arabic Spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced on Tuesday that Israel carried out “dozens of targeted military operations in southern Lebanon in the past few months.”
According to Adraee’s statement on X, “These operations aim to neutralize Hezbollah’s combat infrastructure, which poses a threat to towns in northern Israel.”
Led by Israel’s Northern Command, the operations targeted Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in border villages and rugged areas.
Adraee stated that Israeli soldiers discovered and destroyed numerous underground facilities, weapon stockpiles and tunnels used by Hezbollah. Advanced weapons of Iranian origin were also reportedly seized.
“Throughout 200 nights and hundreds of days, Israeli forces conducted raids deep into the territory, striking thousands of targets. These included hundreds of weapon caches, explosives, and sites housing militants,” read the statement.
Some of the seized weapons were also transported into Israel.
Adraee concluded that the Israeli army “will continue its mission to weaken Hezbollah’s infrastructure and to push their forces away from the border to ensure the safety of residents in northern Israel.”
