South Lebanon and the Bekaa region remain under Israeli attacks, with intense confrontations unfolding from Thursday night into Friday.

The Ministry of Public Health announced on Friday morning that the toll from the past 24 hours had risen to 88 killed and 153 wounded.

Nine people were killed on Friday, including women and children, in an Israeli airstrike on a three-story building in Shebaa.

Consecutive Israeli raids on Baalbeck-Hermel killed 25 people and wounded 14, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

Additionally, the ministry reported 4 fatalities and 29 injuries in Mount Lebanon.

Israel also carried out heavy operations in the Zahle caza towns of Karak and Kfar Zabad.
Israeli fighter jets struck Khiam, Khirbet Selm, Majdal Selm, Jwaya, Kounine, Beit Yahoun and Hula in south Lebanon.

On Friday, shortly after 2 AM, a raid targeted a two-story building on the Douris plain in Baalbeck, causing a fire in the garage and material damage. This was followed by a second raid on a building in Laat, where the fire was quickly brought under control by Civil Defense firefighters.

These attacks were preceded by a series of raids launched against several neighborhoods in Nabatiye, but also in Kfar Remmane, Houmine al-Faouqa, Choukine, Zawtar al-Gharbiya, Nabatiye al-Faouqa, Mayfadoun and Kfar Tibnit.

In addition, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over Baalbeck, a region that has recently seen a major wave of internal displacement, with a toll of 25 dead and 14 wounded in the last 24 hours. The latter also reported 23 dead and 30 wounded following Israeli raids in the Bekaa over the past 24 hours, compared with 4 dead and 29 wounded in Mount Lebanon.


Hezbollah Shelling

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for shelling Kiryat Ata with a volley of Fadi 1 missiles “in response to Israeli strikes against towns, villages and civilians.”

The Israeli army reported on Friday that 10 rockets had been launched in the direction of Haifa, leaving two people slightly injured as they tried to take cover in shelters.

Rocket sirens sounded in Tiberias, northern Israel, while parts of an interceptor missile hitting its target were scattered and landed in the Sea of Galilee.

In Tiberias, in northern Israel, alarm sirens sounded. According to the Israeli media, a missile was intercepted. At the same time, Hezbollah issued a statement on Friday announcing that it had targeted the town of Tiberias.

Hezbollah Commanders Killed

In a post on X on Friday, Avichay Adrae, the Israeli army’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson, announced that during the strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Tuesday, which resulted in the death of Ibrahim Kobeissi, the latter’s deputy, Abbas Ibrahim Charafeddine, was also killed. The strike also claimed the life of Hussein Hani, a close associate of Fouad Shokr, Hezbollah’s top commander who died in July, also in the southern suburbs.

Adrae also reported the death of another Hezbollah member, Jihad Khanafer, in charge of the surface missile system. Details of the operation were not given.
