Friday saw another deadly day in southern Lebanon, with seven people killed in two Israeli raids.

The Israeli army carried out the first strike in the morning around 8 AM on the town of Tayr Harfa, killing three people, including two members of Hezbollah.

Later, a car in Aita al-Jabal was struck by a drone near a house. The Health Emergency Operations Center, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported two deaths, one of which was a seven-year-old child. Two more individuals were subsequently killed – one in an Israeli raid on Aitaroun and another in an airstrike on Mays al-Jabal.

The Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, stated that “an airstrike targeted a Hezbollah cell identified by troops of the 146th Division in Tayr Harfa, southern Lebanon.” This cell was preparing to launch rockets towards Israel.

He also mentioned bombardments on Shebaa.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed an attack on the headquarters of an Israeli aerial surveillance unit at the Meron base and another attack on the Israeli position at Malkiya.

Israeli media reported that rockets were intercepted over Mount Meron in the Upper Galilee, causing fires.

At dawn, Israeli artillery targeted the surroundings of Naqoura and Jabal al-Labbouneh, triggering alarm sirens at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura and other multinational force posts.

Israeli bombardments also targeted Kfarchouba, Kfar Hammam, Rachaya al-Foukhar, as well as Yaroun and Aita al-Shaab.
