The car of a civilian employee of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) came under Israeli sniper fire late Tuesday afternoon while traveling on the main road in the village of Ramya. The car was hit by several bullets, but there was no report of casualties.

In the meantime, tension persisted on the southern front between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, with Israeli warplanes targeting the area between Odaisseh and Kfar Kila, as well as the village of Khiam.

The Israeli army dropped helicopter-borne shells from the Misgav Am settlement five times on Taybe, while Israeli artillery fire targeted the outskirts of the town of Naqoura in the western sector.

For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had launched an air attack with a swarm of drones against the 91st division headquarters in the Nahal Gershom area, targeting positions and encampments of Israeli officers and soldiers, causing casualties.

The pro-Iranian group said it carried out the attack in response to the Israeli strike on Saturday on western Beqaa against a car at the junction of the locality of al-Khayara, killing two people, including a leading member of the Islamic Group. Hezbollah also targeted Israeli positions in Bayad Blida, Birkat Risha, Ramtha in the Kfarchouba hills and Zebdine in the Shebaa Farms.
